This page intends to guide new hobbyist in their effort to familiarize themselves with materials available.

Complete Beginner

At this point a student needs to get a grasp of basic concepts, best introduced in specifically designed courses. These include:

Now a student can read on more technical discussions and get acquainted with sources.

Or enjoy more ‘narrative’ layer of compositions.

Intermediate

The previous readings should equip a student to start working through easier bunch of original materials that are less technical and do not suffer from contradictory revisions.

  • Outline of Phonology: PE19/68–107.
  • Common Eldarin Noun Structure: PE21/70–86.
  • Common Eldarin Verb Structure: PE22/128–140.
  • Eldarin Hands, Fingers and Numerals: VT47, 48, 49.

High Intermediate

After finishing some of the less dense materials, a student is ready to dabble with older compositions that are still often relevant in the discussions or newer unfinished drafts.

  • Quenya Verbal System: PE22/99–127.
  • The Feanorian Alphabet: PE22/15–53, PE23/12–57.
  • Late Notes on Verb Structure: PE22/141–168.

Advanced

To this list belong rather obscure documents, convoluted either in their technical language or amount of revisions. These documents require from a student critical judgement on how earlier and later versions of the languages can be connected and contradictory.
